Hi
I may be misinterpreting the photos but I don't see any wiring which could be associated with the 'non standard' indicator light. That's assuming the holder on the blue wire is the pilot lamp, which is normally a bayonet fitting.
If this holder is for the non standard lamp it looks like its in the lighting circuit and possibly to show when the headlight is illuminated, handy during the day I suppose.
As Clive says, bike voltage and low amperage.

I agree with you Mick. I have a similar thing on a BSA - in blue - which is a main beam indicator warning light. A PO wired it in and I have left it there, since it works,and would leave a 'ole if removed . . ..

Hello, thanks everyone for your interest. I have ordered 6v 3watt screw fitting bulbs. It is not the pilot light, that is out of picture. I am working my way through the wiring. When I fit the battery I will hopefully understand what it does.
