Does anyone know how critical the case to skirt clearance is on a g12? I'm getting ready to reassemble my 1962 g12cs and I've noticed that the case has been slightly bored, probably due to a previous blowup. The skirt was also cracked on that side and had been sleeved. I've got a different set of cylinders and bored them. My biggest concern is a small hole through to the exhaust lifter area. I assume it was probably run like this for years. I just wanted to be sure that it won't be a major problem. I was riding this bike before it blew a base gasket.
