valve push rod
I have got a bent push rod on my 1966 G3 , none showing in spares scheme . What grade of alloy tube / rod should I buy to make a new one ?

Please post in the correct group.
In response to your question, you should use aluminum alloy 2024T3 which needs no further heat treatment. Its performance exceeds the Hiduminium alloy used originally. I don't know if tubes are hollow or solid - I guess solid due to length.

Temper state T351 is essentially equivalent to T3.
