Only CSRs from 1964 should be considered, as the 1963 models still had the 19'' wheels, Teledraulic fork, old brakes, and so on. In the spares list for 1963 & 1964, page 6, for 650 STD & CSR no less than 7 sprockets are listed, from 18 to 24 teeth ! But 22 is recommanded for side car use, 23 not specified, and 24 for solo. But for gearbox sprocket the spares list states 16 teeth for All except 650 CSR, and 17 for CSR. For 64, the front chain has 69 links, and 97 for CSRs rear chain, 96 for the others...From memory all late 650 have a 17 teeth GB sprocket, and 23 STD and 24 for CSR, but the spares list invalidates this idea. But, there are often mistakes in the parts lists and sales brochures for the late models ! Probably other owners of 650 STD could help you...
