G15 oil block junction

Post by dougphipps »

Can anyone help with a G15 oil block junction for a 1967 G15. I have a standard Norton one which doesn't seem to work when turned upside down so that the pipes go under the gearbox. The problem is that not enough oil gets returned. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Try Russell Motors in Clapham Junction, Baxter Cycle in Marne, Iowa, USA, or Walridge Motors, in Canada. www.walridge.com May be Rabers in California may also have one of these junction blocks. The G15CS, N15CS oil feed is pre curved as it fits under the gearbox for the oil feed pipes to attach to the oil tank. There are two types of this junction block. The 1963 to 1965, which had smaller pipes and oil ways, and then the 1966 to 1968 junction block which had the larger oil feed pipes, as the oil holes in the crankcases were enlarged when all the oiling modifications were made from engine and frame numbers 114870.
The standard Norton oil feed junction block will not work, as it is not pre curved and uses straight oil pipes. If it is fitted then the junction block will fit at an odd angle and the oil pipes will have to bent to attach to the oil tank. A P11 oil junction block will also not fit. You will require part number 032046, junction block and oil pipes. You will also require, gasket 032044, and junction block bolt, 030448. The oil pipes also use a plastic sleeve for the oil pipes, 000951 which is 5 inches long. 8-)
