Dismantle the wheel.
If it appears to have original fittings, tell me what you find stamped on the outside face of the dummy spindle. Also anything else you may find stamped any where.
I could then tell you the year and model. regards Rob. club prewar officer.

So far after i put down the cover i found LH and big M on these rings middle , not sure how you call these but mite be the fitting as you said before. Posible there was more but its damaged maybe even after the M was something more.

So far got out only 1 from 3 sq. screws. Rest pretty much rusted so trying some oil/coke at the moment.

Thanks for responses and helping.

M followed by a number. So if you can make out the number that will be one of the model numbers the wheel fitted, parts list can then be checked against other models the wheel will fit, my guess the number will be 1,2,8 or 9 thats all models 500cc and over. Maybe also fit model 10. M is year code letter for 1929. The wheel may also fit later years, again parts list can be checked. You may find the M is follwed by 2. Was this found on the outside of the tube the bearings fit in? also look in other plces for a letter or letter plus numberEdited by - Rob Harknett on 09 Aug 2012 3:41:31 PM

The number I need is inside the wheel on the part with the M on it, you must take this part out. I thought you had done that.
When you take that part out tell me the number you see, it will be on the outside of the part, not where the spindle goes through. K would date 1928Edited by - Rob Harknett on 09 Aug 2012 7:52:19 PM
