Has anyone ever heard of a water cooled Matchless MX4? Personally, I never have but then I do not profess to know everything.

Yes I had a 1934 barrel-back Morgan with such a motor in the 60's when I was young and green. Wish I had kept it of course. It never gave any trouble.

If you acualy mean a Matchless MX/4 with a water cooled engine, then I have never come acoss a production machine with such an engine. Morgan used a water cooled version as you read. Some one may had used one of these engines to make a special.

Thanks all, especially Spridler, for the info. As I said I had never heard of one before and now there are two new ones for sale at an auction, I will not be bidding but will definitely be of interest to someone out there.
