Has anyone got or know of a surviving 1936 AJS model 14. which was a upright mag in front of the engine 500 S.V.
This differed from the 1936 model 9 500 SV which was a sloper with magneto behind the engine.

So far an engine and gearbox only has been un earthed. Just noticed, the model 14 still has the mod 9 sloper top end, so the carb looks odd pointing downwards (see pic. how odd it looks)

This "Up Drauft " Carburetter fitting is a "Secret " Desigh to help when riding in Slipery
road conditions .
The Air is pulled upward`s and the reaction Pull`s the bike down toward`s the road .
Also Heavy Particles of Dust ETC will not travel up hill into the Engine .
When or if it "BACK Fires", through the Carburetter te FLAME is directed away from the Fuel tank .
SORRY to GO ON about thie
"SUPER MACHINE" when all tis has been kept Secret since befor the WAR .
RIDE with CARE and LIVE LONG to Enjoy your Bike`s and Scooter`s .
