There is no illustrated parts list for 1938 model X, Just a non illustrated version, Here;

Post war tin chain cases may look like prewar, but they do differ in length and profile, so different bands and rubbers.
If you manage to find two pairs of post war cases, it is quite difficult to cut them up and make mod X. cases. That comment comes from owners that could make almost any part they wanted. Some of the drive side parts were continued post war, so may even be available for m club spares. Some parts also available from Brough Superior owners club. ( club spares only available to members, so may be worth joining us, you only have 90 days free use of our club forum )
