hello , i bought an ajs 350 e5 . 1925 model a while ago . it was stored in a shed for 25 years under a mattress but is immaculate for its age . i need to insure it but have no idea of value as there are no guidelines for me to go by ... i paid 1k for it and wondered if i should ask for a higher insurance valuation ? thanks . i have put a photo on pics

Value depends on condition, if the bike is complete, correct & how much a person is prepared to pay, when such a machine is up for sale. The E5 is almost bottom of the range. I would had considered £1K quite low. But, these old bikes a very difficult to value, and with site of it impossible.

DT67 has put a photo of the bike in the Photos section under Classic Road Machines if this helps. It looks a lot shinier than in the photo you posted in April. Edited by - DWS on 29 Oct 2011 1:55:45 PM
