L3 matchless oil pumps

hi all
looking for information for my 1925 L3 matchless oil pump it has a dial adjustment on top with no sight glass just a plunger indicator. i can only get info on pilgrim pumps . if i reduce the flow on the pump will it reduce the cloud of blue smoke from the exhaust ?

Yes it will reduce the clould of blue smoke, but do not adjust it untill the bike is running nornmal. Then it should still give a puff of blue smoke. Send me an email to prewar@jampot.com ask for L3 oil pump info. Regards, Rob.
