Sunday 2nd April - Finchingfield run - a good turn out . Decided on a different meeting place and route to avoid the dreaded A 1071 , and didn't manage to loose anyone. The Essex Huffer ( a large trianguler roll or bapp) excellent as usual whatever the filling.
Monday 10th - Club night at the Horse & Groom .
Sunday 23rd - Richards Treasure hunt - a good turn out considering the weather . Event won by Maurice after a tie on points with Peter Ranson ,won on mileage.
Monday 24th - First evening run - Due to my unavailability due to a change of speedway night ,Alvar Smith was volunteered to lead the run , this took in many lanes in far East Suffolk and there is no truth in the rumour that these are Alvar's poaching escape routes.
Sunday 7th May - Saw many of us on the annual Ipswich to Felixstowe road run organised by the Ipswich Transport Museum. A damp start and heavy rain spoilt part of the run but this was made up for by an excellent lunch in the Waverley Hotel.
Monday 8th - Evening meeting - Only Andy came by bike due too the inclement weather.
Sunday 14th May - Section run to the Henham Wings & Wheels , a very good turn out again. I was surprised by the amount and variety of vehicles , most of the bikes on display not known to the section , even though they are only 35 miles away.
Monday 15th May - Committee meeting - We discussed the forthcoming British Bike Meet and next years Jampot Rally. Mick Barritt has had a reply from a badge manufacturer with a design for the rally badge based on the information sent, very impressive.
Sunday 21st May - due to various reasons , the section decided not to go to North Walsham , a wise decision seeing the weather.
Monday 22nd - Evening run - At the moment I intend to go to the Sorrel Horse at Barham Near Ipswich . This depends on the weather , the sun is shining at the moment.
Albert, Maurice,Alver, Mick Dykes and Dave made the start at Martlesham. We did start the run but We didn't make the pub , we only got very wet on the outside and went home again.
