New Blog

Post by chris1947 »

Gents,
I have created a BLOG to show some photos and hopefully in the future information regarding the Kent section of the AJSA & Matchless owners club.
It can be found here:

https://www.tumblr.com/blog/chrisspicersblog

Please let me know what you think and any suggestions for expansion will be welcome.

Chris appears as a blocked guest, so I guess has no connection with the club or section.

Chris is a fully paid up member. I guess Eamonn needs to look at this.

Chis has a different username on the forum to that on the membership system therefore the two do not tie up.
I'll contact Chris by email to get them amalgamated.

In reply to Alan Engineer's remark, I have tried to post photographs on the Forum in the past but due to modern day digital photography the pictures are "too large" to be accepted. Hence the Blog.

With modern day digital technology photos can be resized in seconds, Chris. It saves opening a post containing a photo and the bike having one wheel on the pot and the other up the chimney.............

......with a "Hey! Nonny nonny-nonny nonny ..........." etc., as we say in Sussex.

Found a new super quick way to resize the odd photo that is also very very easy. Right click on the photo then select "Send To" (about a 1/3rd the way up) and then "Email Recipient" (in the middle). This attached the image to a new email, but before it does it gives you the option to resize the picture. Pick the smallest size on the list ("Smaller: 640 x 480") and say ok. A new email opens with the resized picture attached. Just right click on the picture and select 'save as' then its ready to attach to the forum. Sounds long-winded but in practice takes a few seconds, faster than opening the image in another program to resize it. The "smallest" size is perfect for uploading to the forum.

Hi Chris,

I clicked on the link for the blog but it asks for a username and password.

Would I have to register to take a look?

Regards
John

I got the same John, and I'm not prepared to sign up for all the photo achieving websites, getting all their advertising and unwanted stuff.
So if I get a pic that refers me elsewhere, I don't go there.
