I'd like to try one of these things (probably not a cruiser) just to see how they ride and what the build quality is like. Without doing that I don't see how I or anyone else can make an informed judgement on them.
Alan (Morini) Jennings seems happy with his, so they can't be all bad!

My wife is riding an Eco-125. I rode it once, albeit with the clutch dragging and not having ridden a left hand gear change for 30 years. Comments so far:

1. The wife likes it.
2. It was poorly set up by the dealer.
3. It looks quite "pretty"
4. It seemed incredibly light (I got straight off my M16 and onto the 125)
5. My wife can ride it (she's quite short)
6. As the clutch was dragging, gear changes were a nightmare, which is why I got to ride it home, so no comments about the engine/ gearbox.

Apart from that we'll reserve judgement till we've had a year or sos use out of it.

The seat is not original, i have replaced it with the original seat as the previous owner must have had a titanium spine, but i do not!

Build quality is better than i expected, I knew it would suffer the usual pitfalls of a Chinese bike - rubbish tyres as standard and poor quality plastic hoses shielding the electrics but as this is for dry weather only and the price was right so I was happy with the price VS build quality of this one.

I will be replacing the tyres soon, but otherwise there's nothing else that needs doing at the moment.

Time will tell how the mechanics hold up but from past experience these Chinese 125's don't seem to suffer many engine troubles.

They've improved since my lads had Chinese mini moto's then, very poor engineering and quality control in those days with engines full of swarf that got in places it shouldn't and caused all kinds of damage. The fasteners all seemed to be made of a steel coloured chocolate too, just going near one with a spanner, socket or screw driver would see them ringing or rounding off! As with early rice burners, i'm sure the engineering processes and practices have and will continue to improve.
