Hello Mark, not at all up the modern Ajay, however most manufaturers use fairly standardised electrical parts to keep costs down, so if you can compare the two items I am fairly sure they would be the same. This you will also find on switch gear and levers. Sorry can't be more help. :(

I would had thought you could get a correct switch, or perhaps you already have a CR3 switch you want to use. if not, and you you gone to a dealer who says he only has one for a CR3, take your old switch & fittings to the dealer and compare

This club has members all over the world Mark, but for those in GB, parts can be ordered on line from the club and with luck within a couple of days the postman would had delivered them. AJS motor cycles deliver parts next day. Why not order the correct part, you will have it Tuesday. But in the mean time, check the bulb is OK, check by hand the brake switch which may need some adjustment for it to make contact also check wires are secure, if the rear light won't work check the lamp is not loose causing it not to earth.

Rex,
Mice are renowned for their reproductive ability; I expect there will soon be lots more, but at least you were the first !!
Best regards.

P.S. :- And rabbits have a similar breeding habit, 'cos there is now more than one 'Old Thumper', but I ain't complaining.....
TTFN.
