Complete G2 rebuild?

Post by Tolly »

Hi Dave,

The best info you'll come across will be on the AJS and Matchless Archives, the web address for this is: http://80.62.76.243/ if you can't find it here it possibly doesn't exist.

The best of luck for the rebuild. [:D]

Regards Mike.

Complete G2 rebuild?

The book that I found was the most help when I first started, gave a lot of basic info, and a good general guide was FW Neill "Pink " book on singles.
This is reputed to be out of print but I know that there are several copies available from a Dutch dealer. (Sorry details not to hand but I can locate).

Dave, check the timing side axle, on the crank, and the bearing. If there is too much play then you loose your oil pressure as the drive is from here to a little worm shaft. [:(]

Regards Mike.
