Hi
I am restoring the above 1961 AJS model 31 CSR. Does anybody know any of its history? It has been laid up in a garage for over twenty years. i would love to find out anything about its early life or contact a previous owner.

It needed more spending on it to bring it to MOT than the number was (is?) worth. Only an idiot would take it on

How early in it's life are you looking for?
If you send Pat a crisp fiver she will reply with the factory details, and probably the name of the original dealer it was sent to[8D]
From there you never know what you might be able to find out.
BBC was issued by Leicester C B C in March and April 1961.
