Evening People,
My 1952 AJS 18s has the inside the frame rails type foot rests. There is a little play in them but otherwise they're OK.
However I have had to take the lovely leak free (well first time anyway) chaincase off a couple of times to adjust the clutch and it's a pain with the inside frame rail type foot rests.
Q. Can I just get a set of the other type of footrests (and presumably some spacers) and swap them over? Can I use the same rod?
Answers on a postcard.......

Re: Footrest types
same rod would be too short, but longer ones are made. you might have to bodge other footrests. I struggled to get a fit when making my "bitza", sorry "rally special".

Re: Footrest types
Thanks Clive, so it sounds like it's not as straight forward as I'd hoped.
