Threads in forks

Post by Harry44 »

The India made mudguards are coming along nicely so far. But the bolts holding the front mudguard stays to the bottom of the fork sliders were too small and held in place with nuts. The threads in the forks look good so I'd like to do a proper job. So I need to get new bolts. Can anyone tell me what the thread form would be for a 1957 18s

Thanks in advance Harry

I expect so and I use the club spares as much as I can, but the postage for two bolts is a bit too much.

Oops that'll upset the rivet counters :D

The bolts I'm using are longer than standard so that I can put locknuts on 'tother end
