Hi Ram. A pal is restoring a 1952 500 twin which has the same stand as your '55 model.
He is about to fit the side stand so I will drop round and take some photos and dimensions today and post them on here..
Thanks a lot mate ! I will be much obliged.

I eagerly await to hear from you. Have sent you a PM with my mail id, may be easier to send the pics if you so prefer.

Once again thanks a tom

Rear Hub Part Number

Hello Guys, First post for 2019

Bike is doing fine and chugging along, whenever I manage to take her out. Slowly correcting the inaccuracies one by one or collecting the parts to do the same at a near future. One item I need to source is the correct rear hub.

The AJS Parts list for 1955 in Jampot site lists the Rear Hub part # as 21580. But I have been getting offers for 21581 from various sources.

Would appreciate thoughts from experts here.

Best Regards & Ride Safe

One will be the casting number and the other will be the machined item ready to fit. So they will be OK. A picture would make sure, you can't mistake the steel pins sticking out!

Thanks mate.

Do you happen to have a picture of the right one ? What are the pins you are mentioning ? The Parts manual picture does not show any pins sticking out.

Sorry I can't find a picture of the hub showing the pins. There must be one in the archive somewhere but I can't find it.

Thanks Dave.
To avoid confusion I've deleted my irrelevant reply and the link to an archive article.
