Club Membership Status

Post by Johnobirches »

Hi,

Probably one for Eamon this...

I'm changing my primary email address so I'm going through my many many internet accounts changing my details - including the club and the spares scheme.

After changing my email on the club page I couldn't log in to the spares scheme and after a few tries I eventually twigged that it was because I was seen as a guest so followed the link to membership details back to the club site where I filled in the form and duly paid up via Paypal. I'm guessing my membership ran out in July [the month I joined in 2013] and I hadn't realised - it's up to me to check I guess, like car MOT etc. but was there a reminder or flag that I missed? I come on the forum every day and I know that if you make a post your status is shown as member or guest but is there any other indication if you are not posting. If you view your profile does it give you your membership expiry date? - I couldn't see one.

This is in no way a complaint or request for change - just wondering If I missed something.

Thanks all

John

The A4 address sheet that comes in the polybag with the Jampot mag has a message when your membership is about to expire.
I would imagine that most just discard it without noticing.

If you go to the Membership renewal page (link below) and enter your membership number (if you know it  ) and click on 'Next' it will tell you when your renewal is due.

Members who elect to have the digital copy are reminded of their membership expiry date in the email that gets sent informing you that the magazine is ready to download.

Like the paper magazine, members are warned of the expiry date one month before it expires, on the month it expires and finally one month after the expiry date.
