Have just completed the first run on my rebuilt G2 and it seems to be revving rather high in all gears.
Not clutch slip so I'm wondering what the standard sprocket sizes are and whether I'm under-geared for some reason.
Thanks,
Bernie

Re: Sprocket sizes
Most lightweight owners say the same thing, yours may be a 17 tooth but my 350 had a standard 18 tooth and I have fitted a 20 tooth and first gear is actually useful now and it is a lot happier around 60 mph now too.Bernie.Jones wrote:Have just completed the first run on my rebuilt G2 and it seems to be revving rather high in all gears.

Re: Sprocket sizes
Thanks Paul - do you know of a supplier for a 20 tooth? The club, and other sites I've searched, only seem to have the 19s ?

Re: Sprocket sizes
You might also need a longer )or lengthen your) chain, cant remember what I did (think I just replaced the chain) as it was a few years back now

Re: Sprocket sizes
Thanks again. Could someone please remind me of the chain size? I measure it as 5/8" wide and 1/2" pitch (between pin centres) but most sites I look at seem to suggest it's 1/4" pitch so a bit confused.
Also, any suggestions as to where I might get extension links please? I assume that these need to be hand riveted on?
Many thanks,
Bernie
