Started the G9 today post timing cover gasket install, thicker oil and general check around. No oil leaks - so far - not ridden it yet!
One thing I have noticed, and it was evident when I first got the bike, one exhaust is smokier than the other, which has nothing. It's light blue in colour. Bear in mind I was told the bike underwest full resto, so things may still be bedding in. The note from each is very similar. We are not talking voluminous clouds here, rather a slightly smoky exhaust.
Piston rings bedding in perhaps, oil passing through valve stems? Odd that the other exhaust is clean? Don't think it is serious.....

That's not unusual, best to buy a Siamese then you'll not worry about one more than the other as you'll just assume it's both cylinders smoking slightly.

No - No - No
If I had Siamese pipes I'd be wondering if it was the left, right or both - nightmare
Far better to narrow it down
Regards Mick
