Chrome Mudguard Source...Anyone?

Post by good-hifi »

Can anyone suggest a source for Chrome mudguards.

My Model 14 CSR has what I believe to be replacement 'standard' black ones with the deep section. Maybe it was a factory option for goodness knows what reason but I doubt it.

I say believe because I have not been able to find the definitive reference for what any of these bikes should actually look like.

Anyway's if someone can help that would be great.

Cheers

Chrome Mudguard Source...Anyone?

Hello Mick,

a friend of mine has actually organized the reproduction of aluminium- and stainless-steel-mudguards (front and rear). The front mudguards are available in 17"-, 19"- and 21"-diameter, the rear ones come in 17"-, 18"- and 19"-specification. Both are available in different widths.

I do not know whether he still can take orders, but you can try: best you write a mail to him under 'schoenherr-kelkheim@t-online.de'. His name is Manfred Schönherr, he´s originally a Suzuki-man, but he has a heart for our ladies, too, and owns a nice RE Interceptor Mk II.
You can also contact Manfred under 0049-6195-5664. Tell him that I provided his contact data.

Cheers and good luck, matman (Jan-Hendrik from Germany)
