Happy to help! Documentation on Lightweights is {ahem} lacking, so hopefully you can get all the info you need here.
If you've got the engine in bits, then the thread on my rebuild might also be handy: http://www.jampot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=159&t=22646

Plenty more reading to do then
Will look at gearbox in a bit. I just have to clarify things with the clutch so it can be reassembled correctly.
Cheers Clanger I'm sure we will chat soon ;)

After ordering more items and more reading I have looked into the clutch plates and their arrangement.
The first innermost plate is worn and according to the pdf file the plate for the 250csr is showing a double friction plate.
Can someone put a picture up of the basket and plates in order just to clarify things, as mine have not been installed correctly. :headbang:
I appreciate all assistance

Note that the workshop manual isn't entirely clear (or accurate) on the clutch variations. ;)

According to my research, a late-model CSR clutch should have 3x double-sided friction plates (043192)

Thank you for that Dave. I have looked at what I could see and saw the diagram with different models but things are getting confusing. My clutch has 2 double plates and 2 singles.
Cheers for input

That's the one I've looked at and that's what's throwing me because my basket doesn't look like it should have a friction plate on the inner most surface :headbang:
I hope I haven't got to buy a clutch as Well.
Cheers Clanger.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting the "right" clutch - they all work. The lack of documentation means there are endless random variations.
Mine ran perfectly well with a reversed scrambler clutch pack in a CSR basket, for example...

If yours has a "deep" clutch basket, but is missing the friction surface, then it's probably a 350 clutch.

Here are some useful photos & measurements: http://www.jampot.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 9&start=20

... I have dug out my annotated photo, which hopefully identifies the baskets correctly:

That should give me some answers thank you.
My other concerns there is a single thin friction plate that is badly worn on the back. Like a brake disc where the pads were down to the metal.
There is another single friction plate which is a lot thicker with a beveled edge.
Does this go on the inner surface.
I would like to upload pics but my files are too large to upload.
Thanks again Roger.
