G2csr mod 14

Post by ColourNcoat »

Hi All,
I'm in a dilemma and would like to know if or how many people have fitted a genuine or replica speedometer?
I would like to fit genuine but the cost is 10 times more.
No doubt there are many people/owners who have spent a fortune.
The question is...if you had to purchase a replica which one would you get for a G2 csr?
Many thanks

Hi

If you have a broken speedo I can highly recommend these guys:

https://www.classic-speedometers.com/

I had to buy a refurbished item as I didn't have one but the quality of their work is excellent. Not cheap I agree, but I prefer to keep things original. can't comment on repro speedos as I've never bought one.

Regards Mick

Hi Mick, The bike came with a speedometer and I took it apart in the early stages but found out after fixing it....I needed an 80mph but mine was a 40mph :headbang:
So I have been on the lookout for one. An original on e buy is on 190 odd :o

Thanks for the response and will keep looking as I have plenty other things to get as well.
Roger.

Hi

Classic Speedos may offer to buy your old one - why not give them a call, they were very helpful to me.
