anyone Know if the steering damper kit 022060 would fit a1950 G80 cheers Gary Also anyone have any info on the watsonian KF detachable sidecar

I'm not familiar with your damper kit part no. 022060, sorry. Hopefully someone will be.


Presumably you've not been able to contact Watsonian as suggested in my reply to your earlier post as they are closed due to the lockdown?

You should see in your 1950 parts list Complete damper is pt. no. 013457. This old part number does not convert to a new part number.
It changes in 1951 to 016404, 1952 016405. 1953 goes back to 016404, 1954 016404, 1955 it changes to 022060.

The part has a different number because it differs. Some old part numbers may have a new part number. Only then are they the same part.
You had to use the new pt. no. from approx 1952 on wards. Your bike may be classed as made in 1950 but you may not have correct 1950 forks.
So you do need to be sure what year forks you have.

You can check this yourself. As Rob has said part number 022060 is effective for 1955, you can access the parts list for this year and 1950 in the archive and compare the individual constituents of the damper assembly to see where they are common and where they differ
