I cut my own, years ago, from a roll of Klingerette that my mother-in-law gave me, it's very like cork but bonded together. It still does the job. Klingers were (are?) gasket manufacturers.

Thanks all. I think I must have been sent the wrong part. The ID is about 3 or 4 mm too big and the OD hangs out past the side of the cap. I'll see if I have a suitable o ring or failing that I have some cork sheet and I'll try and cut one.
