spoke to ian cox, nice chap. I will be fine with no circips on valve guides they are in there nice and tight. the coils he couldn't understand, he said I will be fine with jb weld for the rally and to send him head back after for some inserts, forward the buffs I say!

You might ask them if they will relieve the valve spring trays for the circlips - I believe they are hardened and would need grinding or machining with special tooling.

Yes... The ones I did appeared to be case hardened, I used an ordinary end mill and it cut okay once you had broken through the skin. I imagine it wouldn't do a nice new cutter much good, I used the oldest roughest one I could find.
