Good morning to all,
I'm researching the history of my 1947 G3L . The Certificate of Authenticity shows the dealer as being "Taylors".
The original index number, retained, would indicate that the motorcycle was first registered in Central London. However, that might not indicate, with any accuracy, where this particular dealership was located. I use 'was' as my research, thus far, fails to reveal any such motorcycle dealership.
Maybe someone has some local knowledge or researched this before? Is there a historical list of motorcycle dealerships?
Any information would be most appreciated.
Regards,
Steve

I thought I had at least a few more years left! I noticed petrol went up from 1s/6d a gallon when I filled up in York last week! Doesn’t time fly!
Cheers,
Steve

Hi Eamonn,
Thank you. That fits in, being a Londoner ( now Northerner! ) I know High Holborn and it certainly would be classed as Central London. The information you kindly provided will now enable me to further my research. I will see if any old photos exist online.
Much appreciated,
Steve
