G80S

Post by Brian 54G80S »

In the interests of preventing primary case oil leaks, is there an affordable belt drive conversion kit available anywhere for a G80S?
Cheers...Brian

No belt drive available for the tin chaincase models but they can be made leak free quite easily. The alternative seal (018652AD) sold by the club works very well. Also don't put too much oil in the chaincase. Only top up until oil only just touches the very bottom of the primary chain.

Wot Dave said, plus you need oil in there to lubricate the shock absorber mechanism, clutch rollers and dynamo chain.

The shock absorber system, clutch rollers, and dynamo chain all require oil, as Dave mentioned.

Thanks for the info! Planning to do some maintenance on my G80S soon, and this helps a lot. Cheers!
