Re: Electronic Ignition
Welcome to the Forums, John.
I've never fitted electronic ignition and hopefully those who have done will comment, but it seems to me that the most commonly mentioned makes for coil ignition systems are:
(See their websites for contact details with some of their dealers).
Boyer-Bransden

Pazon

Re: Electronic Ignition
There is no dedicated kit for the AJS or Matchless singles but the Pazon and Boyer Triumph/BSA single kits with side points fit straight on with no modification on the later singles which use the exhaust cam to drive the points.
I have fitted one of these to a 1965 model 18 and also have a 1964 model with points and, in my experience, the points set up is better, maybe the advance curve for the Triumph/BSA singles doesn’t suit our engines?
I have also fitted the Boyer inductive discharge kit to the earlier singles (inlet cam drives points) and this does seem to improve starting and running. If you wire the bike positive earth you can also ditch the condenser.
