Gudgeon Pin - Model 14 CSR

Post by Mark Tyler »

Hi, I'm looking for a replacement Gudgeon pin for my 1965 model 14 CSR, the club spares only list a pin for the 350 lighjtweight engine (below). Does anyone know if this will fit? The dimensions are 3/4" X 2.37" (60.2mm).The part no. for the 250 042034.
022277 GUDGEON PIN FOR 600/650 TWIN PISTONS ALSO FOR 350CC L/W
Cheers Mark.

pretty sure 022277 should be

0.7499" to 0.7497" diameter - manual spec
62.375 mm length ( sorry mix if units) - measurement
New replacements are not available

The replacement JP piston pins are a tad large on diameter
Pin should fall under its own weight in small end bush with light oil

Thankyou for the information, I was struggling to find the rod length in any of the manuals. The original piston is high compression and +.030, so as a last resort I would have to have to get the cylinder rebored and go to a standard +.040 piston.
According to the manual the 350 lightweight pin is also 3/4" but not sure about the length?
