389 carb on a 350 CC

Post by moley »

Is this ok, the 389 seems a massive carb to be on a 350cc ?

If this is ok, please suggest jet sizes?

Cheers

376/5, 1-1/16" bore, 210 main jet.30 pilot jet, Needle jet .106, needle in central position.

All from Christian's Archives, well worth getting aquainted with.

I had a 389 on my model 16. It was a pig to start and ran horribly, poor pick up, erratic etc. Once I realised it had the wrong carb I bought a 376 at Founders day for £5 and it transformed the bike.
