Jojo,
How did you go with the electric start conversion?
I have thought of the same thing but the motor requires a major rebuild including different cases and internals.
Wally at Bertfloodimports.com.au has been very helpful with Rotax parts here in Victoria.
Regards
Border

Hi Border,
Sorry it took so long I was waiting to fit new carby, it starts easier but we are struggling with the correct settings for a Mikuni 34mm (Anyone ??) I am still waiting to hear on the cost of parts for electric start, I was dealing with David there. If you get anything I am interested.
I am also keeping an eye out for 2nd hand parts, a guy in England wanted 600 quid which was too much then having frieght!
regards Jojo

There is a good file about Mikuni Carb set and tuning
Got our bike finally registered but haven't had time to take it out on the road.

Hi Jo,
I was just looking at your bike in the pictures. Does it not have twin discs? So it should be electric start anyway, did it fall off somewhere!!
Regards,
John

Hi Jojo,
Had our bike on the road a couple of times now.
Easy to start cold but a bit more difficult when warm.
Runs well up to 90kmh (two up), but should go easily a bit quicker. Top gear seems too high, am going to put on a smaller front sprocket. (19T)
Does anyone know what the original air filters were?
I'm waiting for a Rotax manual from the UK to fiddle with the tuning, timing.
Is the elec start motor still for sale in the UK?
Regards Border
