G2 CSR Petrol tank colour

Post by basketcase »

Before anyone asks, YES I have searched the `archives` for it but I can`t find any reference to the G2 CSR (1965 model). I would appreciate it if some kind soul out there would let me know the colour, or modern equivalent, used to paint the petrol tank. Also,is there a special process used to help the paint adhere to the chrome plate, I was going to etch prime it first but have been informed that it still won`t work and I shall have to scuff the chrome first!!!
Cheers, basketcase

...just a general warning not to trust colours on a computer screen. There are quite a few colour definition standards on electronic media, and if the standards are mixed, unreliable results must be expected.
