18S Rocker Oil Feeds
Folks,
I'm replacing the damaged rocker cover on my '54 18S with a better one, and there's a difference in the oil feeds between the old and new (used) ones. The cover I've been running with has brass plugs in the oil feed openings, with a flat ground at one edge apparently to let oil past:

The replacement has no plugs, but brass jets instead:

(As I haven't tried to remove the plugs from the original cover, I suppose it's possible that it also has jets which are hidden behind the plugs.)
So, what oil metering setup is correct/best?
Thanks, and Happy Holidays to all.
Dave

the idea of the grooves is to direct the oil;
you can use either set up without dire effects, even mix and match. Dpends what kind of a purist/worrier you are; obviously I am neither
