The trip reset winder on my Smiths speedo ( G80 1950) is missing I wonder if any member has done this job and could advise me if this is a practical project

What is missing?, the knurled nob that is held on with a split pin that you grip with your fingers and turn, or the reset shaft that the nob is attached to.

I'm sure there's been a thread on this topic before, but it focussed on the length of the shaftand the method of fixing.
