Hello, I am searching here in Sweden for a "new" bike. I like the G80 and 18 with saddle (rigid or springer)
For how long is it the same rearlope with the hole for the saddle springs bolt?
I tried to see it in some sparepartslist but can not see the difference.
Can i mount a saddle on for example - 54 G80s ?

Saddle on a -53 --56 ?
Matchless had the twin seat in '52 and AJS still offered the saddle with pillion option. In the past i have made up a neat clamp on bracket for the front saddle fixing and brazed on the two vertical rear mounts. If purists protest it is easy to unbraze the mounts to take back to original!! Douglas

Thanks Douglas, do You know for how long the two holes for the spring bolts still sitting in the rear frame?
There was a new rear frame for -55 but maybe -54 still have the holes?

Hello Douglas, I don´t think you need to do that. Just check if there is the same holes as a -52 under the seat!
