Hi, i am going to have a look at a freinds bike with a b52 box in it and he tells me he can select 1 + 2 but cant get 3rd +4th gear?
Anything i should look for when taking to bits?

If it is third and fourth, then that points to the main shaft selector fork not functioning and stuck in the second gear position allow the lay shaft fork to select first and second.
I have never had this problem but the manual talks about checking for a bent fork.
Personally I would check for correct operation from the cam assembly though to the fork and to check that fork is moving the second gear to engage with the sleeve gear (forth) and the third gear at the right time with regard to the cam.
