I have had to source a new (old stock) chainwheel/bearing - unfortunately it has a later clutch basket attached. I am lacking the confidence to drill out old rivets, swap baskets over and re rivet (1/4 mild steel).
I have a local steam engineer here in Sussex who will do it for me but his timescale is lengthy, and summer runs call.
Should I attempt it myself would it be difficult, common sense suggests it would need to centred in a lathe to ensure true running.
I have a spare G3lS (4 plate) I could substitute temporarily - would this present any practical difficulties (ie slippage ?18-25 horses)
all help gratefully received - even those who point out I could have bought the whole article from the club - at a price
thanks in advance John Stainer- Barnrise

Clutch chainwheel/Bearing B52 on G80S
I've been running a four plate on my G80 for years and no problem, even two up. Plus i only tighten the springs to two finger pressure!Just lucky i guess! Douglas
