carb settings-G2CSR

Post by basketcase »

After rebuilding the carb, and successfully managing to start the bike after a 3 year rebuild, I now need to adjust the carb back to the proper settings. Can anyone tell me the correct settings for the jets etc as they were only put back together roughly. Also the float needle sticks shut sometimes, I`ve cleaned it out but as usual, when off the carb it works fine but the minute I put it back on it begins to stick. Not all the time, just occasionally.
Cheers, basketcase.

The carb settings for a 1964 G2CSR: Type 389/82. Main Jet 200. Pilot Jet 30. Throttle slide 3. Needle Jet .106. Needle position Central notch. Start with the mixture screw about 1 turn out and fine tune when the engine has warmed up
Check to see if the float is out of shape.
By the way, the secret of success is not finding someone to blame for your failures, but to face up to your failures and learn from them!
