Filters have been done almost to death here, as a search will uncover. I described a year or two back how I bought a felt filter for my '51 350 but found it a poorly constructed, ill fitting thing.
I set to and sowed the new felt into the old filter wire mesh and produced a filter that fits well and now, upon inspection, has clearly filtered out quite a few particles of carbon. So, it works, to some useful degree at least.
Now, rather than buy a new filter or try to clean the old one, I want to buy suitable cloth to sew a new one - what is the fabric? Anyone know and where can it be bought?
