i also did the crank case a couple of weeks ago but made a mistake and put the oven on grill.. blimey within fie mins the kitchen had stunk and there was all like ash over the case! she didnt realise on that occasion !!

The dish washer is ok but it really does degrease so if you do a head and then leave it in the garage you will notice the valve seats start to rust so a small smear of oil is neeeded untill you regrind them.

Surely you can get your dishwasher to apply the smear of oil before she puts the head in the shed!
