I forgot about "ole Ken", who is a gold mine of info on singles (sorry Ken ).

Regarding finding bits, there's quite a lot out there actually but a lot is scattered across the four corners of the globe .

Join wd-prewar-ajandmatchless@yahoogroups.com and you'll be amazed at what you can find. As I said earlier, the currency for most of it is swap bits. So, get to the autojumbles, by up a load of pre-war stuff (anything), and start swapping!

It's as easy as that (if only...)

Easy is a bad word and a relative term, I agree! I was thinking of off-the-shelf exhaust pipes rather than tank top panels and instruments.
Have resisted joining the yahoo group for the instant as it would be under dubious pretences. Shall try to get pic so I can enjoy the gloomy verdict - which might help me looking at it from a selfish point of view . . .
