G12 CSR Mudguard Bridge Painted or Plated?

Post by CAB »

Hello

I have just about got all the parts that I need to rebuild the forks of my CSR after the brake stay snapped. The bridge on the original mudguard was brush painted black, the new one is plated. Should the bridge be painted or left in it's natural plated finish?

Secondly, the two mudguard stays are different lengths, which one goes on the front?

Thanks

suit yourself re the bridge would be my advice, strange about the stays though, I got my pair through the club spares and they are both the same length I'm sure, alloy guards 21" wheel, but the stays on the BSA similar layout 19" wheel shorter to the front, if this 'elps?, kind regards
