Hi All
Am restoring an alternator 350.
The alternator has three wires coming from it but someone has replaced the wires on it with different colours, is there an easy way i can tell which wire goes where ?? I have a wiring diagram.
Thanks
Andy

Alternator Wires
Hi Andy,
have a look at
https://www.jampot.com/article_read.asp?id=102
The reading of a multimeter is the lowest between
white-green and green-yellow (about 0.6 ohm),
twice this value between
white-green and green-black
and three times between
green-black and green-yellow.
So it should be possible to refer the replaced wires to the original used colors.
