Ign. and Valve timing.
Have a timing disc. on my 1948 G3l at moment checking valve timing ,just for fun you understand as I'm waiting for my Mag. to come back from Tony Cooper. Can someone clever at maths convert 1/2" before TDC into degrees for me? Whilst on subject of valve timing is it possible to transpose the cams from a G3L to a M16 of the same year? You know mag drive one to front and inlet to rear. Both inlet and exhaust have the same dwell (275 degrees) and the lift as far as I can guage is the same too. Shaft size is same. Probably come out half a tooth wrong or summat. John.

1948 with short con rod: 39 crank shaft degrees, same as in later models.
