Hi,
lots of threads on the subject of pushrods, but, I still have a question about the different lengths of pushrods that I have. One set are 9 1/4" and the other set are 9 1/8". I am building a standard 1950 500cc single with iron barrel and iron head. Does it matter which length pushrod I use in the re-build? Thanks Peter

Its probably to do with the compression plate. There's plenty of adjustment anyway but use the 9 1/8'' if you have no compression plate. Steel pushrods for iron head. Dave

You'd better snaffle this Pete. I have a new glass in a box for it. You'll have to wait for the back of it to turn up though. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AJS-Matchles ... 19cdec2dbb

Hi, still on the pushrod length trail. 1950 G80, Rod, long, push, bare (same as 39-G9-E113) part number 010941. When looking up the Part Number Conversion booklet, I see that it should be 8 5/32" long. This is a nearly a inch shorter than the ones i have in the parts box. Any thoughts? And does anyone have a good set of this size or am i on a wild goose chase? Cheers Peter
