Hi Richard,
furious scratching of head!
Didn't most Triumphs of that era use the banjo filters?

I'm not an expert on these machines but I think the air filters you are refering to are the later 1971 on Triumph ones which fit in an air box.
The emgo part no above is one of these filters.
This makes sense since Mr Harris was manufacturing triumph parts ( and later bikes ). I believe several parts were common to the Harris Bonnevilles.

Hi all,
after some chasing around have got a positive responce from Phils british Bikes.
www.btinternet.com/~philsbritishbikes/
He confirms these Emgo nos are from Triumph 1966-70 and are correct for our G80s.

Hi John,
Great to see.
Went to Pilgrims last week. Bought a couple of air filter elements (Aus$22 ea). Should be cheaper in the UK?
Also found new side covers are still available from Harris. Have a couple on order. Painted with G80 emblems.
Hope all are well
Richard

Hi Richard,
Union Jack quoted me $50 + $9 pp, which I thought was a tad high.

Hi All,
air filter elements from Phils British Bikes are £10 each + £4.99 pp. Will see if they are correct when I get them!

Yes they are correct size. My originals had an indentation for a foam ring which these don't have, but no matter they still go on ok.
Regards all,

What's the general spares situation for the Harrises? How do they go? Are they worth the trouble and so on?

Engine spares are fine. Most cycle parts can be tracked down as they are mostly from the 'Italian parts bin'. E bay can be good for these.
Are they worth the trouble? Yes because they are no trouble! Mine will zip up to 90 no probs, very little on four wheels will get past! Handles very well, even better with modern tyres.
